Church of England
The Church of England is the established church of England and is something rather special. But now it is under attack. It's origin was the result of some big time politics and state thieving. The current problems are different but at least as deadly. Here is a brief analysis.
Systematic denigration of Christianity is something that comes naturally to Marxists and atheists. The insistence that Buddhism and Islam have equal status has nothing to do with a respect for them. It is an excuse to break Christianity.
Much of the subversion come from within. A respect for science and the genuine results that it produces have been corrosive of faith. Churches have had problems in recruiting priests and especially the Catholic Church, with its insistence on celibacy in the priesthood have had difficulty in keeping out homosexuals.
Women have been another major cause of dissension. Feminists are as a matter of course atheists but they have been very effective in pushing women into Holy Orders. An enthusiasm for "gay marriage" has nothing to do with a respect for the institution itself and everything to do with bringing it into disrepute.
Similar considerations apply to new translations of the Bible. The line is that the King James' version is old fashioned. New translations are uniformly ugly. They cut us off from tradition and beauty of something as important to the English language as Shakespeare's work. That is the intention. Churches are getting emptier and their fabric is decaying but it is their spiritual death that is proceeding faster. It is deadlier too.
It's all over for the Archbishop
QUOTE
Rowan Williams is finished as Archbishop of Canterbury. His authority has been utterly destroyed by the decision of the [ homosexual ] American bishops to reject his scheme to hold together the Anglican Communion....Any Archbishop of Canterbury would have faced almost insurmountable obstacles to preserving the unity of the Anglican Communion, many of whose members do not recognize each other as Christians, let alone as Anglicans. But Dr Williams has not come even close to surmounting them.

This is from a homosexual or sympathizer. Priests who choose to advocate adultery in breach of the Ten Commandments are false priests but the homosexuals don't bother to tell us that.
The importance of beauty in the Liturgy
Its importance is not entirely obvious but it was something that the early church translators built in right from the start. Illustrated manuscripts were also intended to be beautiful just like our churches. Christopher Pearson explains:-
QUOTE
The virtual collapse of most forms of mainstream Christianity is a matter which deserves to be taken seriously well beyond the circles where it is most immediately apparent. Politicians and police say they often ponder the question: without religion to underpin public morality, what is left apart from fear of the law to prevent people doing what ever they like? The common answer is nothing much, beyond the feel-good factor in "doing the right thing".On that reckoning, the social fabric is a fragile construct and road rage a foretaste of far worse to come. Beyond pragmatic considerations of order and the maintenance of a civil society, there are other reasons why institutional Christianity will be missed.

Seeing the problems is all too easy. Finding the answers is more difficult.
