The Church of England is the established church of England and is something rather special. But now it is under attack. It's origin was the result of some big time politics and state thieving. The current problems are different but at least as deadly. Here is a brief analysis.
Systematic denigration of Christianity is something that comes naturally to Marxists and atheists. The insistence that Buddhism and Islam have equal status has nothing to do with a respect for them. It is an excuse to break Christianity.
Much of the subversion come from within. A respect for science and the genuine results that it produces have been corrosive of faith. Churches have had problems in recruiting priests and especially the Catholic Church, with its insistence on celibacy in the priesthood have had difficulty in keeping out homosexuals.
Women have been another major cause of dissension. Feminists are as a matter of course atheists but they have been very effective in pushing women into Holy Orders. An enthusiasm for "gay marriage" has nothing to do with a respect for the institution itself and everything to do with bringing it into disrepute.
Similar considerations apply to new translations of the Bible. The line is that the King James' version is old fashioned. New translations are uniformly ugly. They cut us off from tradition and beauty of something as important to the English language as Shakespeare's work. That is the intention. Churches are getting emptier and their fabric is decaying but it is their spiritual death that is proceeding faster. It is deadlier too.
It's all over for the Archbishop
QUOTE
Rowan Williams is finished as Archbishop of Canterbury. His authority has been utterly destroyed by the decision of the [ homosexual ] American bishops to reject his scheme to hold together the Anglican Communion....Any Archbishop of Canterbury would have faced almost insurmountable obstacles to preserving the unity of the Anglican Communion, many of whose members do not recognize each other as Christians, let alone as Anglicans. But Dr Williams has not come even close to surmounting them.

This is from a homosexual or sympathizer. Priests who choose to advocate adultery in breach of the Ten Commandments are false priests but the homosexuals don't bother to tell us that.
The Old Rectory: The History of the English Parsonage
QUOTE
Despite its prosaic title, this is a humdinging page-turner of a book, revealing in livid detail the scandal of how the Church of England jettisoned onto the market what the author describes as ‘perhaps the most admirable, desirable and ascetic body of domestic buildings ever built’. Out of his reckoned 50,000 of such buildings that served England’s churches — ‘hallowed stones, if properly used, can preach a better sermon than many clergymen’ — only around 700 are left, the rest having been sold to people with little or no ecclesiastic connections and with little or no desire to nurture the religious role for which their house was originally built........ It is a teeth-grindingly scandalous state of affairs...... partly brought about by the grotesque mismanagement by the church and its diocesan boards, and partly by the egalitarian misapprehension that these beautiful and historic architectural treasures, blessed by the tranquillity that comes from spirituality, somehow cut the clergy off from their poor parishioners.

They destroyed beauty when they could not sell it. It was thus with the Bible and their foul new translations. Then people walk away and make matters worse.
Church of England Is On The Skids [ 13 November 2009 ]
QUOTE
The future of the Anglican Communion looks “more than usually chaotic and uncertain”, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, has admitted......... The Catholic Church’s Holy See published the Apostolic Constitution or Papal decree this week, setting out the norms for the new Anglican Ordinariate, which will allow Anglo-Catholics to become Roman Catholics while still retaining their liturgies and other aspects of their Anglican heritage....... The issue was brought to a head by the decision by the Church of England’s General Synod last year to consecrate women bishops with no statutory provision for opponents.

The C of E's decay came from the inside. The Pope's offer is a symptom not the cause. The Catholic Church is under deliberate attack which was begun by Antonio Gramsci, the leading theoretician of the communist party. See Did Communists Infiltrate the Catholic Church? BTW the answer is YES!
Seeing the problems is all too easy. Finding the answers is more difficult.
