Andrew Rawnsley tells us that Blair lied to 400 Labour MPs on the day that he won power. Did they complain? Not as far as I know. Mr Rawnsley worked for the  BBC and The Observer which means that he is a communist subversive or, at least a leftie.

Bribery is illegal in England even if it is to get peerages and even if the bribes get called loans. One Pakistani was simple minded enough to complain that his bribe did not get a result. Turnbull urged her not to embark on the undertaking at all, adding that, if she did insist on going ahead, she should donate her fee to charity. Cherie ignored this advice, saying: "Maybe we should not have done this, but we are in too deep."

Mrs Blair's speaking tour of Australia at the start of 2005 was another notable infraction. She agreed to make a series of speeches, one to raise funds for the Children's Cancer Institute Australia, a research charity.

The War - Won but not Over

Blair lied systematically and deliberately. I think that is the strength of it. News? Not to most of us. Has he been allowed to get away with it? Yes, because Her Majesty's Government is just as corrupt as Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition. We also know that the UK government was aware that the war it intended to launch was illegal......

There are two problems. The first is that neither the government nor the opposition has any interest in pursuing these crimes, for the obvious reason that in doing so they would expose themselves to prosecution. The second is that the required legal mechanisms don't yet exist. The governments that ratified the Rome statute have been filibustering furiously to delay the point at which the crime can be prosecuted by the ICC: after eight years of discussions, the necessary provision still has not been adopted........ So today I am launching a website – www.arrestblair.org – whose purpose is to raise money as a reward for people attempting a peaceful citizen's arrest of the former prime minister. I have put up the first £100, and I encourage you to match it.

I doubt that I have ever agreed with Mr Monbiot before. This time he is spot on. Of course Blair is far from being the only war criminal. Brown, Bush and Obama just three of the more obvious. Then there  are Wolfowitz, Feith, Frum, Livni Jews all. Peres is inciting war against Iran this day in Berlin. The list could be much longer.
