Russia is not a happy country which is a pity. It is large, fertile in places, with plenty of oil gold, diamonds and other useful things. It has talented people too. Its problems come from the bad people, the ones who have robbed it blind over the last century or two.
It was an agricultural land that grew by conquest. The Tsar's empire stretched down to the Crimea and the Black Sea. It covered Poland and the Ukraine. They reached down to Tashkent, Kokand and Samarkand. There were fears that they would get to India and even further. You can see the gun mounted to protect Auckland Harbour to this day. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. It worked.
The Tsars of All The Russias were not good rulers. Serfdom was only stopped in response to rebellion. Had they taken an interest in their people things could have been very different. Grievances were exploited by political subversives, often Jews. The February Revolution in 1917 was won by the people. When it happened Bolsheviks poured back from Switzerland and America to take over and destroy freedom. The October Revolution or Bolshevik Revolution was the result. It was in fact a coup d'etat - a blow against the provisional government which was working toward democracy.
The results were the horrors brought to us by the Bolsheviks, Lenin, Stalin et al. They were worse than anything Adolf did but the media do not bother to tell us that. When the Berlin Wall came down in 1989 and Soviet Empire fell we thought that we had won but it was not true. As the Soviets went the apparatchiks emerged from the woodwork and robbed Russia blind. Large companies were sold to buyers at knock down prices. It is estimated that the oligarchs stole 85% of Russian assets. Some of those oligarchs are on the run. Others have gone to ground in Israel because any extradition treaty with them is a dead letter unless the Israelis don't like him and he doesn't pay enough in the way of bribes. Berezovsky, thief, murderer, Jew and political manipulator is being harboured by Her Majesty's Government. It is claimed that one of the seven was not a Jew. I have not found out which one , if any it was.
PS The good word from Siberia is that Vladimir Putin is all right. He has to be better than that semi-literate, drunken loon in the White House [ Bush , in case you are not quite sure ].
Russia has been an enemy for too long in an unfriendly world. We have common enemies and common interests. It makes sense.

Given that the KGB had the fire power and experience of covert
operations it is surprising that they were beaten by the Jews. But
superior intelligence as in knowledge, deep infiltration of the
bureaucracy, clannishness and great cunning paid off. A
symptom of that infiltration is that this article is so untypical it
mentions Jewish subversion. It does not tell us that they stole some
85% of Russian assets which is one reason why they are hated by decent
Russians. Vladimir Putin is
