Wind farms give us free power. They help us to live in harmony with nature. That is the theory. The reality is rather different. Here is evidence that things can go wrong and do just that.
Then there is the important issue - do they give cheaper power? The answer is no. One of the problems is that the wind can drop and cut off the power at at any time. Nuclear power is dependable - unless it blows up. Remember that fewer people have been killed in nuclear accidents than the back of Teddy Kennedy's car

OK, so this is not wind farming but it really happened in Colorado.

A van careered off a
mountain road and ended up balanced on a cliff edge. The vehicle plunged down
a rock face in Colorado and dangled on a precipice 170ft from the ground. He
tried to balance the weight of the van but in his confusion climbed onto the
back seat which was already hanging off the cliff. Rescue crews managed to
manoeuvre him from the van and up the cliff face before he was airlifted to
hospital where he received treatment for minor injuries
